File
1 File Operations¶
File management provides many practical file operations. In addition to basic cut, copy, paste, and delete, it also supports file upload and download, compression and decompression, encryption and decryption, and batch operations.
2 Change Permissions¶
Click the value in the Permissions column of the file list (such as 0755, 0644) to modify file permissions.
In Linux, file permissions can be set for three different roles:
- File owner
- Group
- Other users
In the permission editing window, you can directly check the permissions for different roles, and the permission code below will change automatically.
If you are modifying a directory, check Apply to subdirectories to update permissions for all files and subdirectories inside.
3 Upload Files¶
Click the Upload button in the toolbar to upload files from your local computer to the server.
4 Online Download¶
To download files from another server to the current server, click the Online Download button in the toolbar.
5 Download Files¶
To download files from the server to your local machine, click Download in the dropdown menu next to the file.
6 Compress and Decompress¶
File management supports compression and decompression in multiple formats. The default format is .tar.gz, the most common packaging and compression format on Linux.
